Keeping It Classy
I have found so many people in this town to lack class considering this is the only city Ive been screamed at in a bar..which happens at least once a week. Come on. I am not that big of a bitch. People just don’t want to hear the truth. They want to hear some version of the truth to make themselves feel better about the choices and decisions they are making.
So where shall I even begin? This story is actually about myself which I am happy to share. I was at Frankie’s five weeks ago with some friends (guys and girls) watching sports, laughing, and having fun. One of my guy friends, Todd, was sitting next to me and noticed that one of his ex’s guy friends (the “douche”) was at the bar with a huge group of people..I mean way across on the other side of the bar. He shares some comments about them, and we just continue on with our drunken afternoon. I kid you not, Todd gets up to go to the restroom, and the douche confronts Todd and tells him that he disrespected Katie whom he only went out with a few times and didn’t sleep with either. Todd mouths off, so of course the bouncer came over to ask what the hell the problem was and to break it up..Jesus it’s 5pm guys.
So an hour later I head to the restroom with Stephanie and pass by the group on the way back to the table (keep in mind Ive never met anyone in this group before). The douche literally grabs my arm, and so here the dialogue goes:
Douche: “You guys have been making fun of us over there.”
Lindsay: “Excuse me. Did you just grab my arm? I was actually just telling my friend here how hot you are, but obviously that is not the case.”
Douche: “No you did not. You are making fun of us.”
Lindsay: “Actually I don’t know who the fuck you are, so I am not sure how I could be making fun of you. Obviously you are insecure and not getting fucked.”
And then I walked off…
So last night I go to happy hour with Todd, and the Douche was there at the bar. He comes up to Todd, taps him on the shoulder, and says,
“I am not going to yell at you this time because I see you out.”
Todd just shakes his hand, and neither one of us responds..Keeping It Classy.
